So with the premier league games being on ESPN in the afternoons lately here, I have been taking my naps while watching these games, and on Tuesday...Man U was playing, so I got to see the Cristiano Ronaldo, while all the highlight tapes are nice...you have to really watch a whole match to appreciate just how good he is, and how much attention he gets from other teams...He is so fun to watch and every time the ball was at his feet there was a buzz amoungst the crowd that you could hear even through the television set... I remeber the announcer saying "Ronaldo, such a magician with the ball he is" and that pretty much sums it up....here is an interesting video about the Magician himself....enjoy!

The (SAD) Evolution of LRG Clothing

this has been on my mind lately...What happened to LRG? Lrg clothing used to be one of my favorite brands of all time because of it's hidden messages, and independence/uniqueness from other popular brands, and the whole story about the founder Jonas Bevaqua how he drew shirt designs on paper by himself....while there are still some cool items by lrg, it is very slim pickings now... While I knew that smoking marijuana was incorporated with LRG before, it used to be a smaller part of their marketing scheme...now I feel it's almost all they are going for....while i have nothing against weed or anything, i just liked it better when they were selling their "lifestyle" idea and not just drugs and their designs were simpler....was it the fame that got to them? do you guys agree with me?? post in the comments sections...

Last Night Recap

So last night I went to Hoosier Hysteria and it was really fun...our team looked a little better than I expected, but nothing more, and it will be hard for this team to win 10 games...seeing the 09' recruits, however, did give me hope for the future...My boy sean was taking videos all night...so we will probably be working on editing all that together to get a video out, which should be cool...

Busy Day Today

So after recovering/sleeping in until noon, I actually have to get up and do some stuff today so I probably won't have too many posts....I have to study for my Math Mid-Term, I already messed up on my first test so gotta turn it around a little on this next one...so I'll be study for a good time period, and then it's off to HOOSIER HYSTERIA and the historical Assembly Hall. My friend should be bringing his camera, so we will have pics and such...tune in to ESPNU to watch Hoosier Hysteria live...

Then on Saturday (yes fucking saturday) at 9am, I have the Mid-term of my life...wow...lol wish me luck

Hoosier Hysteria/Big Ten Preview

So I'm, along with every other sports fan here at IU, is excited to get the basketball season started under our new savior Tom Crean...I have never seen so much excitment for a team that is going to finish last in their respective league...but this video will sure get you excited about the amazing Tradition of the Basketball program at IU, and Tom Crean and what he is going to do...

Also, here are my quick predictions for how the big ten will end up and why...

Michigan State: Tom Izzo and Raymar Morgan are enough to get this team a big ten banner.

Purdue (as much as I hate to say it)- Hummel is legit, as is everyone else who is returning.

Ohio State- B.J. Mullens is a Prime Time Player, that will be the number one draft pick...

Wisconsin- Krabenhoft will lead this team with it's extremely boring (yet effective) offense.

Illinois- McCaumey is coming off a strong freshman campaign and will continue where he left off...

Minnesota- Tubby gets a "real" recruiting class and will reap the benefits, although the returning players are nothing special...

Michigan- The Udoh transfer hurts but this is still a solid team under coach Beilen...

Indiana- (Ok i may be a little biased) But honestly, with no returning players coming back, yes 0 returning players, after the Sampson debacle, it's going to be rough. But Coach Tom Crean is doing everything right and is having this team starting to look better and better each day. With an actually decent recruiting class coming in, anything is possible, I think IU can pull off the occasional upset against a Wisc, or OSU, and will actually be better than the teams listed below...

Iowa- Still rebuilding but getting Anthony Tucker, is a step in the right direction.

Penn State- Umm, it's Penn State basketball,

Northwestern- See Penn State Description (lol)

Random thoughts...

After a long ass day of studying/halo 3/newspaper stuff, I'm sitting in my dorm room watching the USA mens national team struggle against Trinidad and Tobago (Maybe I spoke a little too early on my previous post)...anyways some quick thoughts that I have...

-So, I voted yesterday(there was some early voter thing here at IU) It was crazy tho, alot of kids did it...anyways...I was expecting to feel some type of like accomplishment and feel like I stood up for my future or something, and sadly, after punching in my vote on a keypad thingy, I didn't get any type of that feeling at all...instead, I almost felt small and powerless, looking down the road seeing all these kids who are gonna vote and then thinking about everyone else in the country who is gonna vote, and thinking about how much (or little) my vote really means...I dono, I love our democracy and believe in it 100% and think everyone should vote, just was a little disappointed in the process yesterday and how "boring" it was i guess...maybe/hopefully I will feel different on after election day and I can maybe see my vote actually resulting in something...it was also really cool to see so many kids caring about their future, I'm sure it's like this at almost every university, this would never, sadly, happen to this extent at a high school/middle school(yes I know they can't vote, but I think you see what i mean)...

I got mid-terms this week and next...so....fuck lol no jk ill get through it...hoosier hysteria in two days...yeah baby...

Rays Add More Seats to Tropicana Field...It looks like they are ACTUALLY going to the World Series...are you kidding me!!!!!

The Rays just announced that they will add more seats by unveiling some seats that have been covered up for their whole franchise's history...pretty cool if you ask me...and it's going to be cracking there for game 5, when they could potentially clinch the AL Pennet...I bet there are some die hard Rays fans who have stuck with their team for a long time now, that are just going nuts...good for them, go rays...

After downloading the new Firefox 3.1 Beta version, it just further solidifies my love for the Firefox as the best web browser...

The new 3d tab browsing is off the chain... Although be prepared to mess with the code to activate the 3d browsing...this is the future of web browsing...here are the steps you have to take after you download the BETA HERE

then do these quick steps with the code to enable 3d browsing...

New MacBooks come out....Jury still out

Seems to me from what I have read to be a pretty safe play by apple. No crazy features or crazy innovation going on here.

A more "gamer friendly" system with the new chip...which was needed, a real sleek look, clean look which goes hand and hand with all apple products, and less of an Eco-footprint for planet earth to be happy. These seem to be the main new additions.

The new glass track pad looks to be like a nice welcome addition. I absolutely love my current macbook, so with the high price tag and I don't think I'm gonna run out and purchase it this instant...it would however be a more than welcome Christmas present

Although biased....here is the video from apple...I love apple videos too btw lol....there whole marketing scheme is really cool and I think it works pretty damn good...just look at a college campus....

Just got out of my history of hip hop class and we had a discussion about the golden era of hip hop and it's rap ballads, mostly started by LL COOL J in the 1980's, although this is a "harder" LL, I still really enjoy it...

I know it's only Cuba/Qualifying rounds but....

Crazy Game

Although I missed most of the game, when I got back to the dorm, I luckily turned the game on in time to see the 11th inning and see the Devil Rays prevail over the Red Sox. After seeing the highlights, you just knew that this was a worthy of actually being called a "crazy" game...In my opinion, people need to realize just how insane it is that the TAMPA BAY DEVILS JUST WON A GAME IN THE ALCS!!! think about it for a while...before this season they were in the same category as the Royals, Pirates, Rangers, etc...Props to Joe Maddon, Evan Longoria, Cliff Floyd, Matt Garza, Jason Bartlett and the rest of the Rays...and good luck, I'm really cheering for you guys for the rest of the playoffs. SO just got back from Memorial stadium, and saw another lose for the Hoosiers...It really doesn't look to good for the Hoosiers to make a bowl game now...I just keep going back to the play called back against Michigan State, that honestly was a big play that could of turned our season for the better...Kellen Lewis is also rumored to be injured which doesn't help anything at all...Demarlo Belcher is the real deal though....anyways the real season starts in six days when Tom Crean and the Hoosiers hold their first practice at Assembly Hall for Hoosier Hysteria...should be exciting! This isn't Fair

Kentucky, and a couple of other schools are having their version of "Midnight Madness" a week earlier than every other school due to a loop hole in the rules.

I think this is unfair because of its give the school such an advantage for recruiting. there are no other schools to complete to get these recruits to come to their midnight madness, so Kentucky is getting all these recruits to come.

I personally think that maybe having a week or two of open dates for schools to hold their midnight madness would be beneficial for recruits so they don't have to choose only one school to see midnight madness at.

It will be interesting to see how the NCAA reacts to this, and what rules they will implement, because I'm sure they will not let this fly for long....
