Halo: Reach Multiplayer BETA- Weapons (IGN VIDEO)
So, anticipation for May 3rd and the Halo: Reach BETA is growing and is getting a lot of hype on the video game blogs and sites. This video got me extra excited as I love Halo and new weapons. Ion just recently got Halo: ODST (Disk you need for the BETA) so between all of the proacktive bloggers, I'm sure we will be playing it a lot throughout the month of May and beyond and we will let you know our thoughts.

I'm usually an Apple fan when it comes to consumer technology and gadgets. However, this phone has really caught my eyes when I surf my daily tech blogs and websites. The Google Android UI and OS has proven to be a big-time competitor with the iPhone OS 3.0 (and the upcoming iPhone OS 4.0). This phone has some amazing specs, including a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and 8 GB (up to 40 GB) of internal memory (with a microSD slot that can hold up to 32 GBs underneath the cover) and an 8 Megapixel camera (insane) on the back. I actually dig the layered backing, and a lot of people have said after a while they like the feel the layered back gives as well. All for $199 with a Verizon (data) contract.
I just thought I'd post this because this will be Verizon's (my carrier) new flagship device starting this Friday (April 29). So if your looking for a new Phone I'd suggest giving the Incredible a look because it's getting rave reviews from some of the toughest gadget reviewers out there.

Enter the Musical Mystery Chamers (Wu Tang vs. The Beatles Mash-Up Mixtape)- Tom Caruana
Enter the Magical Mystery Chambers explores the entire chronology of Wu-Tang, using tracks and verses from all eras, including group and solo efforts, and stages them against the instrumentation of The Beatles. What stands out about Caruana's mash-up album is that it maintains a hip-hop feel while allowing The Beatles' dynamic musical bits to peak through. Had RZA not been dabbling in classic Charmels tracks and instead buried himself in the Beatles back-catalog, this is the album he might have produced. Caruana uses his samples selectively, only taking the best parts and reinterpreting them in true hip-hop fashion. In a radically different world where The Beatles are not the biggest band to ever exist, this album could have dropped in 1993 and we would have called it just another great record, not some gimmick as manifest through current music trends. And that's why it's great.

Federal Reserve Unveils New $100 Bill (VIDEO)
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke unveiled a new $100 bill. The new bill has a lot of changes, and it looks like it would be extremely hard to make a counter fit one, which I think is what they were kind of going for. The video and press release will show/tell you everything you need to know.
The new bill’s security features include a blue 3-D Security Ribbon on the front of the note that contains images of bells and 100s, which move and change from one to the other as you tilt the note, according to joint release from the agencies.
Another security feature is the “Bell in the Inkwell” image that changes color from copper to green when the note is tilted, an effect that makes it appear and disappear within the inkwell.

One of my favorite bloggers (Meka) from one of my favorite blogs was on the panel. This round table discussion is extremely long. I only had time to watch the first ten or so minutes, but I found it very interesting and I plan on watching the rest later, maybe this weekend.
Anyways, being a blogger, I find it very interesting to hear different takes and perspectives on the relationship between music and the internet. If you have time and are interested in that kind of stuff, I would watch this.

Cudi Changes Album Name, Gives Updates
Cudder gets his blog on slowly but surely. Today he announced that the title of his next album has changed from “Cudder & The Revolution of Evolution” to “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager”. He wants to keep the momentum going from his first album, dark, inside his mind, bringing you the reality good & or bad he says. Says it’s not complete but almost, production atleast includes Dot Da Genius & Ratatat with a hopeful August release date.

New "iPhone 4" Found in Wild
Gizmodo.com got their hands on a the next generation iPhone. Supposedly a person in Redwood, California found it in a bar, and once Apple realized the future product was gone immediately remotely shut it down and disabled it. Pretty crazy stuff. Anyways, here is some stuff from Gizmodo that talks about the new iPhone. You can read the whole post HERE.
What's new
• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x460 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
What's changed
• The back is entirely flat, made of either glass (more likely) or ceramic or shiny plastic in order for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more hollow and higher pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound
• An aluminum border going completely around the outside
• Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but seemingly higher resolution)
• Everything is more squared off
• 3 grams heavier
• 16% Larger battery
• Internals components are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery

As I'm typing this, Carl Pavano the Minnesota Twins are about to throw the first pitch in an outdoor baseball stadium in Minnesota since the Metropolitan stadium was destroyed in the early 1980's and the Twins moved into the Dome. The park has received rave reviews from the local media, all the way up to ESPN and the USA Today.
Populous, the architect firm that designed Target Field, has done great work with other ballparks including AT&T Park, Citi Field, Petco Park, Nationals Park, Great American Park, and Camden Yards. Located in the heart of Minneapolis in the Warehouse District, Target Field will be a staple of Minnesota for a long time to come.

iPhone OS 4 Released

The iPhone has multitasking, I repeat, the iPhone has multitasking. Took Apple a little longer than some expected but sure enough the new iPhone operating system has multitasking with all applications. As the video shows apps can be controlled by a simple task manager at the bottom of the screen. Some other highlights of the OS include...
The big additions are multitasking, Bluetooth keyboards, push notifications for third party apps, folders on the homepage, wallpapers, mail app optimized (including threaded mail and attachment opening with other apps), iBooks (from iPad OS) added to iPhones, GameCenter (a social gaming app much like XBox live, where you can have friends, challenges, achievements, messages, etc), iAd (mobile advertising for developers and companies).
OS 4 will be released in the summer.
Personally, I think this will be a very successful move for apple and it seems like this will put a lot of skeptics to rest for a while. However, this OS update should have been done 6 months ago in my opinion. Other phones like the Palm OS and Android have had a lot of these features for a long time. All in all, this was a great update and iPhones should probably see even more domination of the smart-phone market in the future because of OS 4.
