Two new tracks from Cudi just dropped, and they are ill. He manages to keep his old feel but work in some distinctive new elements, which I think make for some realllllllly good music. Have a listen.
Here it is, the anticipated short film (40 minutes) from Kanye West with exclusive music from his new album. Kanye really stepped out of his element to make this, you have to give him credit for taking chances and being creative. I haven't watched this yet, so I can't say much more but I'm excited to see this when I find some time.
If you haven't already heard, the NFL will now have the right to suspend players for malicious hits on top of standard fines and penalties. It has caused quite a stir in sporting circles, and many people (including myself) are against it. I'll let ESPN's Mark Schlereth (above) do the opposing arguments for me, but this is a tragedy that the NFL is doing this. It's football, the reason we all watch is because of it's Gladiator-like games. You're telling me a safety has to let up on a hit on a Wide Receiver going across the middle that's about to gain a lot of yards? The answer should be no, but I'm afraid it will soon be yes. Sorry for the sound-off, but I want football to be football and not a non-contact sport.

New MacBook Air with flash memory instead of a normal hard drive (a la iPad), this gives it that "instant-on" technology that so many people like. Very sexy device. 13 inch and 11.6 inch models. Starting at a very reasonable price of $999.
New "Lion" OS...
App Store, Full Screen Apps, Mission Control (Basically a stream-lined Expose, Spaces), Multi-touch gestures, new iLife suite with big updates to iMovie, GarageBand, iPhoto, etc, Launchpad (App Launcher), Facetime (Ability to video chat with iPhone 4 and other mac users).
Pretty impressive stuff. Apple has done it again. Really considering buying that MacBook air over the holidays. I think that it can do more than the iPad and is about the same size and lighter. Sorry to sound all fan-boyish but Apple is a company that is just ahead of Microsoft and every other tech company. Now if only the iPhone came to Verizon...

sorry for the lack of posts from me, time has not been on my side this semester. anyways, my good friend p-loco showed me this song. i was vibing out late last night to this song and a few others by the same artist, Mark Farina. Im a fan of this "acid jazz" genre in general, but this is still my favorite song by the artist. relax and enjoy
One of the Twin Cities' most beloved musical talents has passed away. Micheal "Eyedea" Larsen, a longtime Rhymesayer, singer, lyricist and fixture in the indie hip-hop scene died early this morning, just a month shy of his 29th birthday.
Friends of Larsen said his mother, Kathy Averill, found him this morning.
"It is with great pain and sadness that I tell you my son Mikey (Eyedea) has passed away," she wrote on his personal Facebook page. "At this time we kindly request your respect and our privacy as we process this devastating loss. On behalf of Mikey's family, close friends and fans, thank you."
Part of the Rhymesayers crew from its early days and a creative force to be reckoned with behind the mic, Eyedea painted beautiful and often abstract pictures with his lyrics, revealing the raw, serrated edges of emotion. He and his DJ, Abilities (a.k.a. Max Keltgen) were champions of their crafts and best friends since the age of 14.
Happy G.O.O.D. Sunday lol, hopefully ya'll saw this on G.O.O.D. Friday when it came out. BTW, here's Kanye's album artwork for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but it's apparently going to be banned in the USA, so we will see what version the states gets soon I'm sure.
This update will come out on November 30. It seems like the biggest gripe with Reach so far has been the lack of "good" maps, looks like Bungie is reacting quickly and getting this new map pack out as soon as possible.

Yeah, you read the title right. Bieber just put out this video to "show he has rapping skills." Not even going to front, it wasn't that bad. Dude has swag and a sense of humor so I can't knock him for that.
I just downloaded this album and I'm really impressed. Stevens is obviously an amazing musician and his previous work shows that. Illinois will probably be remembered as one of the better Alternative Rock albums of this past decade. However, in The Age of Adz, he created a more electronic, grandeur sound with background vocals, eerie sounds and the like. The three tracks embedded above are actually three tracks that I really like off of the album. Let me know what you think. Every song is relatively long, so be sure to listen to the whole track to take-in the whole expierience.

Yeah, I'll need a late pass for this one. This was Kanye's G.O.O.D. Friday track from last Friday. I think Lupe has the best verse in my opinion.

Not going to lie when I saw this pairing I thought it would be better than this, but it's still solid. I'll take the original over this though. La Roux is a great artist by the way if you don't already know.

97 on Rotten Tomatoes!!! Impeccably scripted, beautifully directed, and filled with fine performances, The Social Network is a riveting, ambitious example of modern filmmaking at its finest. -Rotten Tomatoes
Who would have known this movie was get such great reviews? I haven't seen it yet but definitely am looking forward to it.
I read one review that said Jesse Eisenberg's performance is oscar worthy and that it tells off everyone who thinks he's a Michael Cera lite (which is EXACTLY what I called him after 'Zombie Land' Haha).
I'm glad this movie got good reviews, they pulled a ballsy move playing 'Power' in their trailer.

A Seattle resident has become the latest Facebook user to get his name in the headlines this week after launching a campaign to raise a $10m offer to Weezer in return for them splitting up.
James Burns said in his pitch via Pitchfork and The Stranger that he has never been a fan of the band, and would now like to increase the chances of them splitting following the release of ‘Hurley‘. “I have never been a fan of this band. I think that they are pretty much horrible, and always have been. Even in the early ’90s,” he wrote.
LOL!!!!! This sounds like an onion article. Rest of the article after the Jump. - from mog.com
“Every year, Rivers Cuomo swears that he’s changed, and that their new album is the best thing that he’s done since ‘Pinkerton,’ and what happens? Another pile of crap like ‘Beverly Hills‘ or ‘I’m Your Daddy‘. This is an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop now.” Burns is apparently hoping all those who have purchased Weezer’s 1996 record ‘Pinkerton‘ will donate $12 in order to raise the sum and, despite the flimsiness of the campaign, it does appear to have caught the attention of the band after drummer Patrick Wilson tweeted: “If they can make it 20, we’ll do the ‘deluxe breakup’!”Read more!
