Last mixtape for the day I promise. Here's Big K.R.I.T.'s latest tape. Here's how Big K.R.I.T. himself described Return of 4eva
I am proud to present “Return Of 4eva” to all my supporters, I took the past year to work on this project. I reached out to some of my favorite artists that I felt represented what this album was about. Ludacris, Bun B, David Banner, Chamillionaire, Big Sant, Joi & Raheem Devaughn all helped me to make my vision of this album complete. I hope you all love it. Download it for free at www.returnof4eva.com stay blessed – K.R.I.T.
Frank Ocean (of Odd Future and OFWGKTA) recently dropped his latest tape. I'll let Tyler the Creator (@FuckTyler) describe this mixtape...
Frank Ocean Just Released His Album NOSTALGIA, Ultra. You Might Have Heard Him On The Mellowhype Album, And Will be Featured On The Upcoming GOBLIN Album. Smooth Ass Music About Bitches, Relationships And Being A Rich Young Nigga…But In A Swagged Out Way. Click Photo To Download. Wolves Know How To Sing Too.
I'm so excited about this project. Last year's I Ruined These Songs For You still is on heavy rotation on my iPod. The Alaskan-now-L.A. based emcee is one of my favorite underground hip-hop artists. He speaks his mind with a smart and witty fashion. I would highly recommend giving this tape a listen and download.

In what is quickly becoming the biggest indie hip-hop festival in the United States, Rhymesayers announced what artists will be coming to the 2011 Soundset festival in Shakopee, MN today. I know a lot of proacktive readers are from Minnesota/midwest, and I highly recommend checking this festival out if at all possible. Wth so many different acts it's a really worthwhile.
This year's line-up includes the likes of Atmosphere, Brother Ali, De La Soul, Curren$y, Big Boi, Slaughterhouse, Mac Miller, Macklemore, Lazerbeak, and many others. Be there!

This dude has been getting a lot of buzz after SXSW, and I have really like what I've heard so far. Reminds me of Andre 3000 a bit. Don't sleep on this cat. His first album, the Hybrid, is embedded above.

I've been meaning to download this mixtape for quite sometime now, but being out of the country and perpetually busy has delayed that process. JJ is an ill swedish band that made the song Ecstacy (which sampled lil wayne's Lollipop). Anyways, they do some sick rap samples/covers in their albums (check out this cover of My Life by the game & lil wayne), and this mixtape is just filled with them. They seem to have a liking for weezy samples which is fun to hear. Check out this wiki link to see their sample list for each song, although it isnt too tough to figure out by ear.
The title for this album is interesting too:
"the expression Lil Wayne used in the trailer for his mixtape No Ceilings. Wayne mentioned that when making a mixtape and sampling other artists, he doesn't kill the artist in question, he Kills their song"
Hilarious. Classic. If you haven't seen the rest of Nardwaur's interviews, then you need to check them out now. His interviews are so different yet so intriguing. He makes the artist say things you never would know about them. My favorites are the Odd Future, Drake, Das Racist and Pharrell interviews.

I'm having a hard time describing what this mixtape sounds like, but I like it. Take a listen for yourself if you want some chill, mellow music to have sex vibe out to.

I love the delivery AND content of this track. plus the beat makes me hardcore nostalgic, remembering the days of playing nba street vol.2 on my ps2 with my brother. anyways, Ill Clinton deserves love:
Kanye shut the show down in Austin, TX this year for SXSW. Kanye performed in an abandoned power plant warehouse building and had the crowd going crazy. Jay-Z, and tons of other G.O.O.D. Music artists joined in as well.

In Part One of Group & Family Therapy, I introduce you to my clients: Sean, Anthony, Nathan and Erick. They are members of a music group called “Atmosphere.”
This video demonstrates how the behavior of each group member affects both the emotional reactions of the other individuals and the effectiveness of the group as a whole. You will see how the encouragement of direct dialogue between members of the group helps them to effectively communicate and resolve their interpersonal conflicts. The series of videos will show how a variety of therapeutic techniques change the dynamics of the group to create more synergistic creative energy.
I hope you find these videos instructive in your own psychotherapy practices.
Not sure what to think about these yet? It's kind of interesting I guess? Are they serious or not? lol... Check out the rest of the video series HERE.

Japanese researchers have blurred the lines between man and machine with their latest robot, the incredibly realistic Geminoid DK.
It is the third of the Geminoid series, a line of androids designed by Hiroshi Ishiguro, a professor at Osaka University and his team at Japan's Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) in Nara. The robot has been constructed to look exactly like Henrik Scharfe, an associate professor of Aalborg University in Denmark and is the first of the series based on a non-Japanese person.
"Geminoid|DK will be the first of its kind outside of Japan," the group explains on the robot's website. "[It is] intended to advance android science and philosophy, in seeking answers to fundamental questions."
Ishiguro's first robot clone, Geminoid HI-1 was based on himself while the second, Geminoid F, was a copy of a young Japanese model. All Geminoids are remote controlled by an operator with a computer employing motion-capture technology, letting the robots realistically mimic facial expressions and head movements.
"using 1,300 punching bags, 6.5 miles of stainless steel cable, and 2,500 pounds of aluminum pipe to construct a 22-foot-high installation that took three years to complete" By artist Michael Kalish.
"The idea for the project came to Kalish as he was falling asleep one night in 2008: an array of custom-made, teardrop-shaped speed bags suspended in midair that, from just one vantage point, align themselves like pixels into an image of Ali's face."
Ill just post the text from the info section on the youtube page...
What would you do if you had only five minutes to live? Trace a young man's few minutes of trying to fulfill his life's highest potential.
Never have I put in so much effort into a single short film. This project is the result of hundreds of hours of work from many people. Originally made for Campus MovieFest, this film is definitely the biggest scale and most ambitious project I've ever done. Watch in HD and with good/loud sound! Watch my other films!
We just won Best Picture at the Emory finale event. We will be competing internationally at Hollywood in June! I have also been nominated as one of five people in the nation for the Best Director Award for CMF.
Filmed with a 5d mark ii camera with a 24-70mm lens on a steadicam merlin. We did 36 takes to get the right one. Morgan and I went running weeks before to get our cardio into shape for the shoot. Yes, the final film is all in one take. Everything was shot on the Oxford College of Emory campus.
As you know, proacktive is all about supporting friends, local, and underground acts. This project covers all of that aforementioned criteria. Steady Roosevelt hails from Roseville, MN and graduated with all of Team Proacktive, so this mixtape garners a special place for us.
His debut project, Water Guns and Bubble Pipes, features rhymes covering happiness, sadness, pokemon cards, girl troubles, childhood, growing up, and much more. The diverse range of topics give Roosevelt a unique and authentic feel that is lacking in the current hip-hop landscape. A lot of mainstream artists now-a-days are afraid of what people will think of them, but Roosevelt spits what's true to his own life and it shines through. The honesty and originality from Roosevelt is extremely refreshing and satisfying to hear.
The production quality is high too. Roosevelt samples popular pop and hip-hop beats, yet puts his own touch on each beat to give it a new sound and feel. There is also some original production from scratch on this tape as well, which is also very worthwhile. All in all, this is a nice mixtape that deserves some listens and downloads.

Red Bull always does these action movies/videos right. I would pay to see this I think. Some of those shots were breathtaking, let alone the stunts those boarders were pulling off. Amazing.
